Founder & Executive Director, Summit Path Academy
Joelle Chong is a 17-year-old social impact leader and education equity advocate who leads Summit Path Academy, a global, student-run nonprofit providing free tutoring and enrichment programs for children from low-income families.
She founded Summit Path Academy after recognizing that many students from under-resourced backgrounds around the world lacked the academic support and encouragement needed to thrive both in and beyond school.
Summit Path Academy focuses on K–12 education, connecting students and tutors across the globe. Under Joelle’s leadership, the organization has built four key programs: the Core Learning Program, Explorers Program, Book Club, and Language Program.
Joelle’s experience tutoring younger students at her high school and serving as a weekend teaching assistant at Korean school inspired her to take those experiences further by founding Summit Path Academy. What began as local volunteer tutoring has grown into a global education initiative, with tutors and students learning together across multiple countries. She and her team continue to recruit passionate youth members and expand Summit Path Academy’s reach to bridge educational gaps worldwide.

Hi! My name is Vaishavi and I’m a sophomore. I’m really passionate about healthcare, leadership, and helping others. Some of the clubs I’m part of include HOSA, Science Olympiad, and Class Council. Outside of school you can find me dancing, practicing taekwondo, or baking.
Audrey
Social Media Manager
Hi! My name is Audrey, I am currently a sophomore in high school. I am the social media manager for Summit Path Academy. I am currently the social media manager for two other clubs at my school that have various subjects. Outside of the academic setting I have done gymnastics for about 10 years and currently play violin and have a passion for baking.
Aman
Outreach Coordinator
My name is Aman. I have completed my high school and will pursue Computer Science studies at a select university. My future aspiration is to pursue research in AI and machine learning. I am excited to work with Summit Path Academy because I strongly believe in making academic support accessible to every child, and this role allows me to contribute directly to that mission

Hi! I’m Victoria, a high school student who loves helping kids learn. I’ve coached tennis to younger learners and supported students whose first language isn’t English as they built both confidence and skills. I can’t wait to work together with you and your child to help reach their goals.

Hello! I am Vali and being part of the Summit Path Academy is such a meaningful experience. I really enjoy getting to work with younger students and helping them grow more confident in their learning. Tutoring has not only allowed me to make a difference in their academic journey but has also taught me so much about patience and leadership. I’m so grateful to be part of such a supportive community and excited to continue helping kids reach their full potential!

Hello! My name is Sahana. I love Penguins a lot and I am doing and have done a bit of research on them and some environmental issues and solutions. On the side, I crochet for fundraisers, and figure skate.

I’m Meghnaa. I’m 17 years old and a junior in high school. I love playing tennis, reading and dancing. I enjoy getting involved in my school community and participate in clubs like DECA, Library Club, and many more. I’m super passionate about business, and film, and I’m always excited to learn, create, and explore new opportunities.
